The Focus team got a feel of what it was like to cook three healthful and delicious gourmet foods namely: Shrimp/Fish noodle salad, Vegetable burgers, Banana Lemon Crepe, with the help of Chef Nick Garcia from the Philippine Culinary School. Instead of using meat, Chef Garcia used whole wheat cereal in preparing the recipes. The activity began with a one-hour orientation about health foods and healthy living. Even if the team ate a late lunch, they shared the food they prepared with much relish after cooking the meals themselves. It was an insightful experience.

From an apartment in an interior village in Mandaue, Focus finally moved its office to Cebu City on April 2, 2008. Mr. Rob Rawson (Focus Interactive CEO) and Ms. Loreen Sarmiento (Focus Interactive Managing Director) opened the ceremony with a ribbon-cutting followed by a Holy Mass, blessing and a sumptuous lunch.

For the Sinulog festivities, Focus team went to Abuhan DOS restaurant and had a festive lunch together. The team then proceeded with a face and body painting, got Henna tattoos, and danced to the Sinulog beat. Pit Senyor!

The Survivor Camp moved to Hidden Paradise where the Focus team went through its own version of “The Survivor Series”. There were three groups formed, namely “Pink Panther” led by Bambi Corro, the black team “Tribu LeeSud” led by Lee Judaya and the red team led by Jackie Manlosa. The activities began with “Treasure Hunting” a tribal icon was the treasure). We borrowed Spiderman's web for the next game called “Spider Web” where the team crawled and stretched bones to go through the rubber spider web, making sure no part of the body touches it. After the next game of “Tug-of-War” the group enjoyed the resort (with a bonfire and drinks in the evening).

The Focus team celebrated its Christmas Party in the lavish Montebello Villa Hotel hosted by HR's Honey and Mona. The teams showcased dance presentations, song drama, and story telling. Bambi's Group who performed a storytelling dance drama won the grand prize of a P3,500-worth barkada outing gift certificate. The Penthouse group's musical drama (won the consolation prize and the best Christmas symbol entry for the evening. Arbitech presented a dance video while Arbiad a dance number. The other special awards were Most Jolly (Bambi), Most Silent (Mark), Swan and Drake of the Night (Maricar and Reynaldo), Best Dressed Female of the Night (Jen), Best Dressed Male of the Night (Romel), Focus Early Bird (JJ), and Star of the Night (Kylie). The team culminated the activity with a disco till midnight.

Who says Halloween is only for kids? The Focus Team became kids (at heart) in this activity where everybody wore spunky (and not actually scary) Halloween costumes. The office was transformed into our own version of “hell” which was merely illuminated with red lights and adorned with red scary decors. Still, everyone had one hell of fun with food and drinks all around. Hmmm... can't wait for Halloween 2008!
