Job Description of the System and Network Administrator:

The SYSTEMS & NETWORK ADMINISTRATOR will be in charge of implementing support systems, installation, configuration, and maintenance of local area network active and passive components, local area network application systems and operating systems.

More specifically, he will be in charge of securing the network, implementing a centralized authentication system like Active Directory, and set up and deploy secure file and document systems and backup systems. He is also in charge of ensuring minimum downtime resulting from support activities, most especially for internet availability, and the configuration and maintenance of CPE.

As the Company moves to a new corporate headquarters in Metro Cebu's business district in the next 30 days, its internal network will bear the successful candidate's signature as this will be laid out from his plans for what must be a seamless system.

Key Requirements:

• At least 3 to 5 years of Windows systems administration
• At least 3 years of Unix or GNU/Linux systems administration

Technical Requirements:

• Proficient in the setup of services and server software, like: SSH, DNS, DHCP, Samba, OpenVPN, Squid, HTTPD, FTP, SSL, MySQL, Postfix/Qmail/ IMAP, Firewalls
• Has good understanding of SQL, TCP/IP properties, internet routing, web hosting and DNS propagation
• Has good understanding of internet security, server security, risk assessment and mitigation
• Must be able to read and interpret PHP classes and object codes
